September is National College Savings Month

Six years ago, the United States Congress declared September as College Savings Month in an effort to raise public awareness about the need to save for educational expenses.

“Education is something Curt and I are very passionate about supporting,” Nancy Richardson said, wife of OtterBox founder and CEO Curt Richardson.

“Not everyone can afford a college education so we like to help those we can, even if it’s simply to raise awareness in the importance of staying in school. For the past couple years we’ve awarded a scholarship to local high school students transitioning into college, we’d like to give more in the future and are looking into other ways we can do that,” she said.

With increasing tuition rates, book prices, campus living fees and other expenses, continuing an education costs a pretty penny so OtterBox supports those trying to save for college.
