Reaching out to Active Women: Women’s Adventure Event, Boulder 2009

The Boulder Reservoir in Boulder, Colo. was the perfect spot for the Women’s Adventure, a non-competitive event to encourage adventure and an active lifestyle.

This past weekend, women of all ages embarked on a day of fun-filled adventures including slack-lining, rock climbing, massages and yoga clinics!

Last but certainly not least, women also participated in the first ever OtterBox case toss to win a free waterproof OtterBox 1000!  Although everyone was a winner, women were given 3 chances to toss an OtterBox 1000 into the hole, if the toss was a success you got to keep the case!

Check us out at www.otterbox.com to find out more information about our protective cases for handheld technology and other valuables!  We hope to see more adventurous women at the next Women’s Adventure!

OtterBox Welcomes Autumn with Open Arms

SanbenitoMexico_ricardoHernandez

The crisp autumn air rolled into Fort Collins, Colorado this week and the slowly changing leaves have begun to sparkle with green & gold Colorado State University pride. Everyone at the office is pulling out their sweaters and scarves in preparation for the season ahead.

While we’re sad to see the summer go, autumn brings even more adventures and draws us one step closer to a snowy winter and hopefully a great skiing/boarding season ahead.

Whether your autumn adventures include a camping trip, hiking one last 14er, tailgating at the football game of your favorite team or anything else, make sure to bring your OtterBox along. With four series of cases for some of today’s hottest tech devices, we’ve got something for everyone!

September is National College Savings Month

OtterBox Front Six years ago, the United States Congress declared September as College Savings Month in an effort to raise public awareness about the need to save for educational expenses.

“Education is something Curt and I are very passionate about supporting,” Nancy Richardson said, wife of OtterBox founder and CEO Curt Richardson.

“Not everyone can afford a college education so we like to help those we can, even if it’s simply to raise awareness in the importance of staying in school. For the past couple years we’ve awarded a scholarship to local high school students transitioning into college, we’d like to give more in the future and are looking into other ways we can do that,” she said.

With increasing tuition rates, book prices, campus living fees and other expenses, continuing an education costs a pretty penny so OtterBox supports those trying to save for college.

At OtterBox we think of every day as a school day – there’s always something new to learn!
