What is a Wig Out?
This UK-based organization was formed by Hayley Stopford when her sister was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. One of the biggest and most immediate shocks for her sister was the thought of losing her hair. So to do something positive Hayley created Wig Out as a fun way of raising money for various breast cancer charities. The first Wig Out event was an exciting day of wig wearing, raffles and cake sales held at Hayley’s office. It was a huge success!
Now Hayley is spreading the idea and promoting fun and positive thinking by getting other creative agencies and playful offices to hold an event too. This organization helps raise smiles and funds for breast cancer charities.
